Hand Crafted Rose

Remember a loved one with a beautiful, hand crafted Silver Jubilee keepsake rose created from recycled metal.

Every rose is as individual as your memory, whether you have had a loved one who was cared for by the Hospice, worked or volunteered here, or you simply want to treasure a unique piece of art.

You will also be rewarded by knowing that every rose purchased will support Rowans, your local hospice, to continue to deliver outstanding care to patients and their families with life limiting illnesses for another 25 years.

Why Roses?

Roses From above Feb 2019Symbolic of friendship, love, appreciation and purity, a rose is a breath-taking flower with a unique form.  Combined with the imagery of the butterfly (appearing on 75 limited editions sculptures), which so beautifully symbolizes transformation and joy,  the sculptures are a powerful celebration of the emotions and moments that have transformed and shaped us into who we are today.

The Designer and Design

Rose

Designed by local artist Jamie Cullimore. Jamie grew up on his parent’s smallholding near Fareham and initially followed in his father’s horticultural footsteps. In recent years, he has combined his passion for flowers with a love of metal work to create bespoke items so that people can enjoy blooms that last forever.

The outdoor sculpture will be made up of 650 individual hand crafted metal roses made from recycled metals.  75 special edition stainless steel roses also have a recycled metal butterfly adornment.  Together these individual works of art will encircle a large central stainless steel rose with butterfly sculpture.
