Thanks to the unfailing support of the local community Rowans Hospice has gone from strength to strength developing services and delivering outstanding care.
At Rowans Hospice, we appreciate how ambitious our £7.5 million fundraising target is. We need to raise this in order to undertake all the work needed to future proof the Hospice for the next 25 years.
Here are ten easy ways that you can help to make sure Rowans Hospice is there for your friends and family in the future.
1. Hold a Cake Sale
Get baking and arrange a monthly cake sale at school, your local church, office or sports club
3. £2.5k Corporate Challenge
Get your business to join the amazing 20 local companies that are already taking on the Corporate Challenge to raise £2.5k for the Silver Jubilee Appeal. It offers a clear, reachable goal that staff can have a lot of fun working together to achieve
4. Buy a Rose
Purchase one of only 725 individual hand crafted Silver Jubilee roses by local artist Jamie Cullimore, which will be used to produce an impressive display within the beautiful grounds of Rookesbury Park in October.
5. Set up a regular donation
Resist that coffee and cake and use the money to make a regular monthly donation of just £5 on the 25th of the month to support the Silver Jubilee Appeal
7. Fire & Ice Event
This is a definitive test of inner strength and acknowledging you are capable of impossible challenges – walking barefoot over burning embers or broken glass! Guided by a qualified instructor, don’t miss out on this one off fundraising event this September.
8. Donate your silver
Get in your attic, clean out your drawers and dig out your silver, ready for the next Rowans Hospice Silver Auction hosted by Nesbits in October.
9.Take on a challenge
Set your own personal challenge whether running 10 miles of the Great South Run, taking part in your first triathlon or giving up chocolate for 25 days. Collect sponsorship money for every mile, km or day of your challenge.
10. Host a Tea Party
Request one of our free Silver Jubilee Tea party packs and host a fabulous tea party. Friends and family can bring a raffle prize, give a cash donation or even participate in a bake off to raise money for the silver jubilee
DID YOU KNOW?
If everyone in Rowans area of care gave just £11, the hospice would raise the £7.5 million it needs to complete the refurbishment.
